If you would prefer to have your collection in a bin rather than in bags then please do not make any smaller than 30 litres (or 10 black bags). Garden Waste Collection Stone have signed a new contract with StokeonTrent City Council to continue providing garden waste collection service in Stone from April 2013. This service is provided free of charge although residents are encouraged to recycle as much as possible including grass cuttings, root balls, dead flowers and leaves.

Garden waste will need to be tied in bundles of not more than 12" diameter. Waste bags, without the green waste sticker on the handle, may still be taken into the householdwaste recycling centres. The staff at Community Waste have worked hard to recycle or reuse as much of the waste we produce every year. We had hoped that our local providers would have been able to continue to take a portion of our garden waste but unfortunately they have now closed their doors to green waste.
