If your refuse is not collected during these times please leave it at the side of your bin/bag until the service resumes. refuse collection crews will always endeavour to collect from your property and appointments made for the collection of specific items will be honoured. We know that you will want your refuse to be collected as normal on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. We also realise that this will cause problems for any of our customers who work on these days so we have put together three diversion plans to try to keep your waste as separate and as clean as possible before collection.

Colne Council work to the term dates below and refuse collection outside of these dates will not be made. Refuse should be left out for normal collection from Monday to Thursday every week with some additional pick ups on Mondays. A full schedule of our waste collection service can be found here. Here at Refuse Collection Colne, refuse collection in Colne is a very high priority. We will make every effort to collect all of the scheduled waste and recycling collections as normal on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Our refuse and recycling service will operate as usual, however, there will be no collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Collections will continue as normal on Saturday 26 December and Sunday 27 December. We also say thank you to all our residents for putting their waste in the correct bins, with a reduction of flytipping by nearly 20% over the last 2 years. refuse collections in the borough will be unaffected by the Christmas bank holiday, for a large part of December.
