The refuse collection service is provided by Refuse Collection Wincanton, a unique public private partnership that has been providing a refuse collection, recycling and waste management service in Somerset for the last 16 years. SWP is made up of councils in Somerset with funding from the government, businesses and residents. Our team of refuse collectors are responsible for removing over half of all the waste that is generated in Somerset. refuse collection routines are tailored to the needs of each area, with some areas having a single day collection while others have different collection dates for food, and recycling collections.
